The President of the League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds, Hamid bin Abdullah Al-Ahmar, stated that the Western countries are directly involved in the genocide war on the Gaza Strip through their support to the Israeli occupation.
Al-Ahmar added, during his speech at the scientific conference titled "The Flood of Al-Aqsa and the Role of the Ummah" in Doha, that without Western and American support, the occupation would not have been able to continue its crimes and aggression against the Palestinian people. He called for an end to the unprecedented aggression against the Palestinian people, which aims at genocide and displacement.
He emphasized the need to put an end to the impunity enjoyed by the occupation by pressuring international and legal institutions to fulfill their role. He affirmed that the resistance is part of the Palestinian people.
The President of the League expressed gratitude and appreciation to South Africa for submitting a request to the International Court of Justice to prosecute the Israeli occupation for violating the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide and committing genocide crimes in the Gaza Strip. He noted that it is regrettable that Arab and Islamic countries did not support this request.
During the conference, the "Doha Declaration of the Global Humanitarian Alliance for the Support of the Oppressed" was signed. In addition to the League, it was signed by the World Union of Muslim Scholars, the International Islamic Parliamentary Forum, the Global Coalition for the Support of Jerusalem and Palestine, the Justice and Democracy Forum, and the World Islamic Forum for Women and the Family.
