Issued by the League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds and Palestine on the Occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People

On the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, the League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds and Palestine affirms that the Palestinian people continue to face a genocide that is one of the most horrific wars of modern times, and they still suffer from the effects of the Israeli occupation of their lands, amidst the international community's disregard for their legitimate rights guaranteed by international laws and resolutions.

On this occasion, the League reminds that "Israel," the occupying power, continues to commit serious war crimes against the Palestinian people, most notably the ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip, which becomes more brutal every day.

The League calls on the international community to take immediate action to stop the genocide being waged against unarmed civilians and to take all necessary measures to implement the International Criminal Court's decisions related to the arrest of Netanyahu and Gallant for committing war crimes, and to apply the International Court of Justice's advisory opinion regarding the war on Gaza, in addition to taking urgent and immediate procedural measures to halt the genocide.

The League emphasizes that the Israeli occupation's aggression against United Nations institutions, its contempt for its charter, and the obstruction of the Secretary-General's work, along with the continuous disrespect for international institutions and the international justice system, require the international community to end its policy of timidity towards the occupation and to take measures that correspond to these abuses and actions to curb its assaults.
