Press Release from the LP4Q&P on the Anniversary of the Genocide in Gaza

Press Release

from the League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds and Palestine on the Anniversary of the Genocide in Gaza

A full year has passed since the genocide and ethnic cleansing perpetrated by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people, particularly in the Gaza Strip, amidst a complete failure of the international system and complicity from some major powers that have enabled the occupying state to commit the most heinous war crimes and crimes against humanity without fear of consequences or regard for international law.

On this anniversary, the League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds and Palestine reaffirms that the continuation of this approach, which has persisted for nearly a century, is likely to lead the world to a moral collapse that allows for mass killings on a wide scale everywhere.

The League emphasizes that the world must today stop the genocide and Israeli aggression without delay, in upholding the Palestinian people's right to freedom and justice, and in preserving a world characterized by stability and adherence to the law.

The League calls on international institutions to fulfill their duties by stopping the genocide, the massacres, the killing of civilians, and ethnic cleansing in the Palestinian territories. It demands accountability for the occupation's crimes against the Palestinian people and calls for the prosecution of its leaders in international courts.
