The League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds Condemns the Israeli Occupation Forces' Crime of Raiding Al-Shifa Medical Complex

The League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds strongly condemns the Israeli occupation forces' raid on the Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza City after besieging it for several days, targeting patients, the wounded, and medical staff inside.

In the face of this blatant aggression, the League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds emphasizes that this crime represents a flagrant violation of international law, international humanitarian law, and the Geneva Conventions. Silence regarding this crime encourages the occupation to continue its genocide against the Palestinian people.

The League holds the US administration fully responsible for this heinous crime due to its support for the occupation, defense of it, and alignment with its lies, the latest of which was the statement by the White House and the Pentagon regarding the hospital's military use.

Amidst this overt barbaric aggression, the league calls on the parliaments of Arab and Islamic countries and the free world to take urgent action to hold their governments accountable for an immediate cessation of the genocidal war against the Palestinian people, which the occupying entity is committing with unprecedented brutality in human history. The league urges them to take all necessary measures to protect children, women, patients, and the elderly who are subjected to the most heinous forms of injustice in plain sight of everyone. It also calls on them to activate all political and legal mechanisms to hold the occupation accountable for its heinous crimes committed against civilians in Gaza and throughout Palestine.

The league affirms that the failure of international organizations and the Red Cross to fulfill their responsibilities in protecting the wounded and civilians and holding the occupation accountable for its crimes renders these organizations worthless. This encourages the occupation to continue its crimes and disregard international law and humanitarian law.
