LP4Q condemns the killing of journalist Shereen Abu Aqleh by the occupation

Press Release

The League of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds condemns the deliberate and premeditated killing of Al-Jazeera correspondent Shereen Abu Aqleh, while carrying out her journalistic work in the city of Jenin in the occupied West Bank.

The League extends its sincere condolences and sympathy from her family, Al Jazeera channel, the masses of media professionals and the Palestinian people on the martyrdom of Abu Aqleh, stressing that the execution is a heinous crime that violates international laws and norms and is considered a war crime with full elements.

The League calls on parliaments, parliamentarians and the international community to condemn this heinous crime and take practical action to hold the occupation forces accountable for their deliberate killing of Abu Aqila, and to punish him for his continuing crimes against the Palestinian people and journalists.

The league reiterates that this crime represents a model for the Israeli occupation's dealing with journalists in order to obliterate the facts on the ground and the Israeli violations against the Palestinian people, and to export a false narrative that the occupation is a natural thing that must be accepted.
