Barghouthi calls on Cypriot parliament speaker to support prisoners’ demands

   MP Mustafa Al Barghouthi, Secretary General of the Palestinian National Initiative Movement received Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Cyprus MP Dimitris Silores and his accompanying delegation, with the participation of the representative of Cyprus to Palestine Ambassador Savas Vladimiro and in the presence of Dr. Mahmoud Brigith from the Palestinian side.
   Dr. Barghouthi explained to the visiting delegation the seriousness of the situation of the Palestinian prisoners who are on hunger strike for the 35th day and called on them to exert all possible pressure to meet the just demands of the prisoners.
   Barghouthi explained the suffering of the Palestinian prisoners, including the prisoners’ deputies, children and women, and the danger of the policy of administrative detention.
   Barghouthi also explained the facts of the situation in Palestine and the Israeli efforts to destroy the possibility of an independent Palestinian state, the dangers of the settlements and the nature of its spread, the catastrophic consequences of building the wall of apartheid and the details of the Apartheid system.
   Barghouthi explained the repeated violations by the occupation army of Palestinian human rights and its attacks on the resistance activists.
   The Speaker of the Cypriot Parliament expressed his affection and the accompanying delegation with what he witnessed and witnessed, and affirmed the Republic of Cyprus’ commitment to its steadfast position in support of the Palestinian people’s right to freedom, ending the occupation and establishing their independent state.
