The Jordanian Senate calls for exerting pressure on Israel to accept the two-state solution

     The head of the Jordanian Senate, Faisal al-Fayez, called on the international community to exert real pressure on Israel to return to peace negotiations, accept the two-state solution and abide by international resolutions on the right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state on the Palestinian national soil.
    This came during a meeting of Fayez, Wednesday at the Senate, with a delegation of senior aides to the US Senate, in the presence of the Chairman and members of the Committee on Arab and International Affairs and expatriates and a number of dignitaries, according to the Jordanian news agency “Petra”.
    Fayez reviewed the current situation in the region, the repercussions of the Syrian crisis and its impact on Jordan, and the economic challenges it faces because of the reception of about 1.3 million Syrian refugees.
