MPs: International efforts to bring the occupation leaders to the courts as war criminals

     The deputies of the Parliamentary Change and Reform Bloc and Irish parliamentarians stressed that the occupation practices the most heinous crimes against the Palestinian people, stressing the need to bring these crimes to the international courts to prosecute the leaders of the occupation.
    Representatives of the Change and Reform Bloc and the Group of Friends of Palestine in the Irish Parliament, through Skype technology, reviewed the devastating effects of the siege on the Palestinian people that have affected all aspects of life due to the arbitrary policies of  the Israeli occupation, Stressing that the situation in Gaza has become catastrophic.
   The deputies pointed out that the occupation is practising Apartheid and issued unjust laws against the land and sanctities and its crimes extended to prevent the call to prayer and the abduction of deputies.
   For his part, Mahmoud al-Zahar, head of the Change and Reform bloc stressed on the right of the Palestinian people to self-defense and to liberate his land and sanctities and to get his freedom and independence, indicating that the defence of rights does not constitute terrorism as claimed by the Zionist occupation.
   Dr. Al-Zahar praised the advanced Irish positions in support of the Palestinian cause, pointing out that this meeting has an important role in supporting the Palestinian cause.
   He called on all Irish MPs to be ambassadors of the Palestinian cause in clarifying the suffering of the Palestinian people and representing the Palestinian cause in all international forums and parliaments.
   Dr. Zahar added: “We will get our independence as the Irish people gained their independence and got their freedom with resistance.
   For his part, Ahmed Bahr, the first deputy speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council, said that this meeting is proof of the Irish people’s standing with the Palestinian cause, explaining that the Palestinian people made many sacrifices in order to obtain their freedom and independence.
