Meetings to Mobilize Parliamentary Support for the Palestinian Cause in Latin America

A delegation from the Latin Palestinian Forum made an official visit to the Brazilian House of Representatives in the capital, Brasília, where they met with a number of Brazilian parliamentarians, including members of the Workers' Party and the Socialism and Liberty Party, as part of ongoing efforts to mobilize parliamentary support for the Palestinian cause in Latin America.

According to the Forum, the meetings aimed to discuss ways to strengthen solidarity and coordinate parliamentary efforts in Brazil and Latin America. The delegation included Forum President Mohamed Al-Qadri, Executive Director Ahmed Howeidi, and Media Director Abdullah Omar.

The delegation gave a comprehensive presentation on the Forum’s main activities during 2024, especially its efforts to mobilize more than 52 parliamentarians from Latin America to participate in the Parliamentarians for Jerusalem Conference, which was held in Istanbul. In addition, the Forum gathered more than 100 different figures to participate in several conferences focused on the Palestinian cause around the world, in coordination with various international and regional institutions.

During their meetings with various parliamentarians, the delegation emphasized the importance of unifying parliamentary positions in Latin America to support the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, in light of the increasing challenges they face on the international stage.
