Colombian Senator Clara López: The Displacement of Palestinians is a War Crime

Clara López Obregón, a member of the Executive Committee of the League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds and Palestine and a Colombian senator, condemned the plan announced by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding the forced displacement of the Palestinian people, particularly in the Gaza Strip.

Obregón warned in a tweet on the X platform against attempts to cover up these plans and pass them off under the guise of misleading humanitarian rhetoric, affirming that the forced displacement proposed by Trump, and sought to be implemented by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, constitutes a war crime under international law.

She continued, "Even if Trump tries to present it in humanitarian terms, and Israeli officials describe it as voluntary migration, do not be mistaken: the forced displacement of two million Palestinians is a war crime."

The League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds and Palestine has strongly condemned the statements made by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding the displacement of Gaza residents, considering them a dangerous stance that reinforces the policy of forced displacement and ethnic cleansing against the Palestinian people, in blatant violation of international law and human rights.
