Chairwoman of the Human Rights Committee in the Turkish Parliament: Aid Must Reach Gaza

Derya Yanık, the Chairwoman of the Human Rights Committee in the Turkish Parliament, stated that the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip is the result of the resilience of a people who have provided a humanitarian lesson to the world through their resistance against the Israeli genocide machine.

Yanık added, in a statement, that turning this achievement into real peace requires the full implementation of the ceasefire and ensuring the uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid to the population. She continued that "achieving peace in the Middle East can only be done through the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state."

She emphasized that "the freedom of the Palestinian people is not just a political demand, but a necessity dictated by our shared human conscience, and Turkey will always stand by justice and continue to support the just cause of the Palestinian people."

Derya Yanık expressed her hope that the ceasefire agreement would be a step towards achieving just peace, calling on the international community to take a firmer stance on the Palestinian issue.
