Kurtulmuş: Trump's Reception of Netanyahu is a Deep Wound in the Conscience of Humanity

The Speaker of the Turkish Parliament, Numan Kurtulmuş, stated that U.S. President Donald Trump's reception of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is accused under international law, is like treating him as a king, which constitutes a deep wound in the conscience of humanity.

In a press statement, Kurtulmuş explained that the ceasefire in Gaza represents an important step towards achieving lasting peace, emphasizing the need to transform it into a genuine starting point for establishing the foundations of a fair and comprehensive solution.

He added that the freedom of Palestine and the restoration of its rights are not merely issues concerning one people, but are a true test for the conscience of all humanity, affirming the importance of the legitimate resistance and just struggle of the Palestinian people in defending human values.

Kurtulmuş noted that the key to peace and stability in the Middle East lies in ensuring the freedom of Palestinians and their right to self-determination, stressing that the Palestinian people's possession of an independent state is a historical responsibility that falls on the shoulders of the international community.
