Parliamentarians Commend LP4Q's Role in Supporting the Palestinian Cause at International Organizations

Parliamentarians participating in the fifth conference of the League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds called for urgent action to end the genocidal war on Gaza Strip and to prosecute Israeli Occupation's war criminals for their committed crimes against the Palestinian people in the occupied territories.

During the Parliamentary Forum session, which was held within the conference activities, the parliamentarians demanded support for the efforts shown by South Africa to prosecute the Occupation for the crime of genocide in Gaza and to confront the Occupation's plans in occupied Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The speakers' distinguished statements during the session are as follows:

A Member of the Palestinian Legislative Council, Dr. Ismail Al-Ashqar:

•        We call on parliaments to intervene and end the genocidal war waged by the Israeli Occupation against the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip and to follow in South Africa's footsteps in prosecuting the leaders of the Occupation.

•        We warn the world of the Occupation's dangerous plans to Judaize occupied Jerusalem and impose a temporal/spatial division on Al-Aqsa Mosque- a holy site.

The Vice President of the Algerian Parliament, Ahmed Al-Kharshi:

•        LP4Q has played a significant role in confronting the Occupation's plans in occupied Jerusalem and enhancing the presence of the Palestinian cause in international organizations and parliaments, as well as gathering pro-Palestinians.

•        We call for coordinating parliamentary efforts to support the Palestinian cause and bring peace to the world, including the region. The war of extermination against Gaza Strip has exposed the international community's fragility and counterfeit claims to protect humanity.

The Vice President of the Tunisian Parliament, Fadhel Ben Turkia:

•        We firmly support LP4Q's efforts to unite parliamentary and global forces, emphasizing the crucial role of global solidarity in expressing support for the Palestinian cause at international organizations.

•        LP4Q works to intensify and unify efforts as a global organization to support the Palestinian cause through international rights.

The First Deputy Speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives, Fawzi Al-Nuwairi:

•        We applaud South Africa’s role against the Israeli Occupation at the International Court of Justice, and we call on all countries to follow in their footsteps.

•        We demand severing ties with the Occupation and enacting laws that slam normalization, as Libya did by imposing sanctions on anyone proven to be involved in relations with the Occupation.

A Member of the Parliament of Uzbekistan, Nuri Maalouf:

•        The genocidal war against Gaza Strip is unparalleled in history, and it doesn't seem like it will end anytime soon. We must make every effort to end this war.

•        What is happening in Gaza these days is a brutal and shocking humanitarian/military crisis in light of international inability and complacency to take action to end the genocide.

A Speech by the Vice President of the Djiboutian Parliament:

•        LP4Q is making every effort to support the Palestinian cause in parliamentary and international forums, and we appreciate this effort.

•        Djibouti is committed to supporting the Palestinian cause, and every effort aims to achieve the Palestinian people’s legitimate rights.

The Vice President of the Moroccan Parliament, Abdullah Hafti:

•        We stress the need to bring humanitarian aid into Gaza Strip and reiterate the need to condemn the genocidal war against them.

The President of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, Ali Al-Qaradaghi:

•        Our vision is clear: We advocate for a new world order that is not confined to the interests of a select few but upholds security and peace for all. As Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan rightly points out, the world is bigger than the Big Five.

•        We call for strengthening the economic boycott of countries/parties that support the Israeli Occupation, and we support LP4Q's efforts to intensify movements aiding South Africa's case against the Occupation at the International Court of Justice.

•        Let us reiterate that resistance against Occupation is not terrorism, a fact that is enshrined in both international and humanitarian laws. This should be our unwavering slogan.

•        The speech of LP4Q's President at the fifth conference was truthful, bold, and straightforward.

•        A message must be sent on behalf of parliamentarians and scholars expressing pride in the Palestinian people in Gaza and their resistance, as well as supporting their steadfastness.

The Vice President of LP4Q and a Member of the Indonesian Parliament, Fadli Zon:

•        Projecting silence over the crime of genocide in Gaza Strip means accepting it, and what we are witnessing today in the Palestinian territories requires robust and accurate intervention from parliaments.

•        We must unite, cooperate, and use all our powers to ensure that the Palestinian people obtain their rights, stop the war of extermination in Gaza Strip, and allow urgent aid to enter.

A Member of the Qatari Shura Council, Ahmed bin Sultan Al-Aseeri:

•        The international community is required to accept its responsibility for protecting civilians from the war crime of genocide committed by the Israeli Occupation against them in Gaza Strip.

•        We demand an urgent international investigation concerning the mass graves in Gaza Strip and holding the Occupation accountable for its crimes in the Strip.

•        The Israeli Occupation fabricates lies against Qatar despite its commitment to the role of an independent and impartial mediator to reach an end to the war in Gaza.

A Member of LP4Q's Executive Board and a Member of the Pakistani Senate, Mushahid Hussain:

•        We thank South Africa for its diplomatic/legal efforts to pursue the Israeli Occupation, and LP4Q is in constant contact with them in this context.

•        Pakistani law stipulates that the Palestinian people have the right to self-determination, and we hope that all parliaments will push for legislating statutes in support of the Palestinian cause.

A Speech by the Iraqi Parliament:

•        We hope LP4Q's fifth conference will be a genuine initiative producing a major international meeting addressing Jerusalem, Gaza, and all of Palestine.

•        The United States was not shaken by the scenes of the Israeli Occupation killing children/women and bombing hospitals/schools in Gaza.

The Argentine MP Julia Peri:

•        140 countries recognize Palestine, but the Palestinian people were left alone in front of the Israeli killing machine amidst the genocidal war.

•        We must take action to end the genocide, and we must unite voices and efforts to support/protect the rights of the Palestinian people.

The President of the European LP4Q, Michele Perras:

•        LP4Q will not back down from supporting the Palestinian cause and will not be ashamed to declare this; instead, it is proud of doing so.

•        The world has turned its back on the crime of genocide in Gaza Strip, and we cannot stand idly by and must accelerate our actions to end this suffering.

•        Persisting to demand that the Palestinian people obtain their rights will ultimately contribute to serving justice and helping them gain their rights.

•        LP4Q continues its movements to end the genocidal war on Gaza, and showing solidarity with Palestine signifies defending humanity.

A Speech by the Iranian Shura Council:

•        Supporters of the Zionist regime did not content themselves with funding the Israeli Occupation with weapons, money, and politics but rather used mechanisms, including the right to criticize, to thwart all efforts to end the genocide in Gaza.

•        There is Western silence and unconditional support for the killing of children in Gaza, along with international failure to support the Palestinian people in their rightful demands.

A Speech by the Nicaraguan Parliament:

•        European countries participated in the genocide against Gaza through their support for the Israeli Occupation and their silence regarding the crime of genocide.

A Member of the Lebanese Parliament, Imad Al-Hout:

•        We will continue to demand our governments to vocalize their stance through practical measures at international forums regarding America’s bias toward the Israeli Occupation.

•        From our parliamentary position, we will prosecute the Occupation in international forums for its crimes.

•        We thank LP4Q and its President, Sheikh Hameed bin Abdullah Al-Ahmar, for their efforts and influence at the international level to support the Palestinian cause parliamentary.

Turkish MP Zakaria Davutoglu:

•        Israel is a terrorist organization, and the truth is that it does not act like a state but rather as a Zionist movement committing genocide against civilians.

A Member of the Palestinian National Council, Abbas Zaki:

•        Some Arabs raced toward supporting Palestine within the framework of the battle. However, for the other Arabs and Muslims who failed us, I give them an admonition: enjoy while it lasts cause history is not merciful.

A Former Member of the German Parliament, Karslei:

•        Unfortunately, German society, especially German politicians, is still governed by the Zionist lobby.
