For the first time, the occupation allows the storming of Al-Aqsa through the Al-Asbat Gate

Yesterday, Sunday, the Israeli occupation police allowed groups of settlers to storm the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque through the Al-Asbat Gate, the first storming through the gate since the occupation of Al-Aqsa.

The director of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Omar Al-Kiswani, said that the occupation’s permission to storm Al-Aqsa from the Al-Asbat Gate is an escalation in the aggression against the mosque, noting that “opening the gates to be stormed by the settlers comes at a time when extremist groups are pressing to open all the doors of Al-Aqsa in front of their incursions, which is considered an implementation and practical acquiescence to the settlers, despite the dangers that this poses to the mosque.”

It is noteworthy that in the project of the spatial division of Al-Aqsa Mosque, which was internally approved by the Likud party in 2012, the Al-Asbat Gate appeared as one of the proposed gates for Jews to enter the eastern courtyard of Al-Aqsa after being cut off in favor of the extremists, as was planned.
