Dr. Bahar Praise the Iraqi Position Which Rejects Normalization with the Occupation

The President of the Legislative Council commended the position of the people of Iraq, the Presidency, the Government, and the Parliament, which categorically rejected normalization of the Zionist occupation.

In a press release, he called for Iraq to continue to form an impassioned dam in the face of attempts by some to force it into stepping on the muds of normalization, which had only brought shame to its interior.

"The official and popular Iraqi rejection of the Erbil Conference days ago, in which voices calling for normalization with occupation were heard, is a pride for the nation, and Iraq is setting a model in how official regimes express the attitudes and directions of their peoples," he said.

"The Palestinian people have always realized that Iraq’s people and leaders are alongside the Palestinian right and that it is a rock on which all intrigue is broken. I therefore call on Iraq to continue with this approach and policy," demanding that the Arab and Islamic regimes and the world follow Iraq's example in rejecting normalization and prosecuting its advocates.

He stressed the need to establish an international front to isolate and hold the occupation to account, not to normalize it, because normalization with occupation encouraged it to continue its crimes against the Palestinian people and to violate international laws and customs.
