The head of the League of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds, Sheikh Hamid bin Abdullah Al-Ahmar, said on Sunday that the league is ready to sponsor a vision based on coordinating work between Turkish, Qatari and Kuwaiti charitable institutions to unify efforts to support the Palestinian people.
Al-Ahmar, during the visit of the league’s delegation to the headquarters of the Qatar Charity Foundation, said that the league is ready to sponsor the perception and gather the concerned parties in Istanbul within a workshop that examines the integration of the role between associations and institutions in providing charitable and relief support to the Palestinian people, indicating that the majority of the support provided to the Palestinian people comes from these Countries.
He stressed that coordinating efforts will contribute to strengthening the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and filling the shortage in many different areas, in addition to focusing more effort on supporting the steadfastness of the people of the city of Jerusalem in various fields, especially education, health and the restoration of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
For his part, the CEO of the Foundation, Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Kuwari, said that the Israeli occupation is fighting the charitable efforts made by the Foundation to support the Palestinian people in the occupied territories.
Al-Kuwari called for parliamentary and legal action to put an end to the obstacles that the occupation places on the activities of Qatar Charity and other humanitarian institutions, noting that charitable activity faces great difficulties, especially in the occupied city of Jerusalem.
He expressed his welcome to the league's proposal to coordinate efforts with various charitable institutions to support the Palestinian people, stressing Qatar Charity's readiness to cooperate with the league in all efforts aimed at supporting the steadfastness of the Palestinians.
