Member of the Executive of the League of Parliamentarians for Al Quds and Chairman of the Palestinian-Turkish Parliamentary Friendship Committee, Hassan Turan, met with a parliamentary delegation from 8 Latin States on the sidelines of the League fourth Conference.

The delegation included members of parliaments from Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, Guatemala, Chile, Mexico, Uruguay and Venezuela.

During the meeting, Turan stressed the importance of strengthening and coordinating efforts between the League, the Latin Parliaments and the Turkish Parliament to serve the cause of Palestine and to develop cooperation to live up to the sacrifices of the Palestinian people.

He had received an invitation from the delegation to visit Latin States to explore ways of cooperating and developing relations with their parliaments to promote the rights of the Palestinian people, stressing the importance of strengthening the relationship with those parliaments to serve the Palestinian cause and developing cooperation at the parliamentary and political levels in support of the cause.

On Tuesday, 30 September 2021, the League of Parliamentarians for Jerusalem launched its fourth conference, entitled "Jerusalem Our Red Line," in the Turkish capital Ankara, under the auspices of the Turkish Parliament.

The conference, held on Tuesday and Wednesday, was attended by the Vice-President of the Republic of Turkey, Fuat Oktay, the Speaker of the Turkish Parliament, Mustafa Šentop, and the Presidents of Parliaments and Parliamentarians from more than 50 countries around the world.
