LP4Q Executive Board member Hasan Turan: “Unless Palestine is free, the world is a prisoner”

Turkey-Palestine Parliamentary Friendship Group President and Member of the Executive Committee of the League of Parliamentarians for Al Quds, MP Hasan Turan, attended the "5th Global Solidarity Conference with Palestine" held at the Cordoba Congress Center in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Speaking at the opening session of the program, Turan stated, "The support of the people of Africa, who experienced all kinds of oppression and discrimination during the apartheid era, for the Palestinian people today with all their colors, shows how far ahead they are compared to the known countries that describe themselves as modern and contemporary but do not hesitate to applaud baby killers."

Emphasizing that African countries, by paying the price with blood and life, have won their freedoms and human rights advocacy, Turan said that the Palestinian people under occupation are progressing confidently on the path to freedom.

Expressing Turkey's concern about the attempt to cleanse Gaza of Palestinians and the danger of a regional or even global war, Turan stated, "The genocide practiced by Israel in Gaza" makes conscientious and sensible people all over the world turn their eyes to Palestine, and the massacre and pain will not be erased from memory.

Stating that stopping Israel, punishing the Netanyahu government, and establishing an integrated, sovereign, and independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital are global moral responsibilities, Turan emphasized, "Until Palestine is free, the world is a prisoner."

Representatives from Palestinian institutions as well as delegations from over 50 countries from Asia to Latin America are participating in the conference, which will last until December 5th.
