The league discusses with the Malaysian interior minister the support of Palestine and the strengthening of joint cooperation

The League of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds delegation discussed with Malaysian Interior Minister Saifuddin Nasution the support of the Palestinian cause and the strengthening of joint cooperation between the league and the Malaysian state.

During the meeting, the delegation briefed the Malaysian interior minister on the developments of the Palestinian issue, the dangers facing the occupied city of Jerusalem and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the dangerous escalation by the far-right Israeli occupation government against the Palestinian people, their land, property and holy sites.

The two sides discussed a range of topics related to the Palestinian issue, primarily supporting the regional parliamentary league in Southeast Asia, contributing to the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip and providing facilities to Palestinian students in Malaysia, stressing the need to strengthen bilateral cooperation between LP4Q and the Malaysian state in areas of mutual interest.

For his part, the president of the league, Sheikh Hamid bin Abdullah al-Ahmar, praised the Malaysian efforts to support the rights of the Palestinian people and the occupied city of Jerusalem, praising the brotherly relations between Malaysia and Palestine.

A delegation from LP4Q arrived in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, on Monday, as part of a series of foreign visits carried out by the league to enhance the presence of the Palestinian cause in Arab, Islamic and international parliaments.

The delegation includes, in addition to the president of the league, Mr. Hamid al-Ahmar, the vice-president of the league and the chairman of the Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Committee in the Indonesian Parliament, MP Dr. Fazli Zon, chairman of the defense and Foreign Relations Committee of the Senate of Pakistan, Senator Mushahid Hussain, Member of the executive body of the league, MP in the Malaysian Parliament Syed Ibrahim, advisor to the league Prof. Dr. Mohd Afandi Salleh, director general of the league Dr. Mohammad Makram Balawi, head of Public Relations at the league eng.
