A delegation from LP4Q participates in the work of the 17th session of PUIC

A delegation from the League of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds participated in the work of the 17th session of the Union of Councils of Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which is being held in Algeria under the slogan "The Islamic World and the Challenges of Modernization and Development."

The head of the League, Hamid Al-Ahmar, confirmed that the League is making "a double effort through its communication with parliamentarians who advocate the Palestinian cause in various parts of the world, to clarify the size of the dangers facing the Holy City of Jerusalem," noting that the League "is working through its participation in the conference, to warn of the dangers that surround the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and the occupied city of Jerusalem, and the violations committed by the occupation against the Palestinian people.

He pointed out that this participation comes in light of unprecedented challenges, due to the practices of the extreme right-wing occupation government, which has made the Judaization of Jerusalem a main goal, adding that the League seeks to inform the participating delegations of the occupation's attempts to change the status quo in Jerusalem and Judaize the city.

The League had received an official invitation to participate in the conference of the seventeenth session of the Union of Councils of Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation held in the Republic of Algeria.

The League delegation arrived in Algeria on Saturday to participate in the work of the conference, where it is scheduled to hold a series of workshops and meetings with the participating delegations to highlight the dangers besetting Jerusalem and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and to discuss support for the Palestinian people in Parliament.

The delegation, headed by the President of the League, Hamid Al-Ahmar comprises the Vice-President of the league and Chairman of the International Parliamentary Cooperation Committee in the Indonesian Parliament, MP Dr. Fadli Zon, Assistant President of the League for African Affairs and Member of the Executive Board, Al-Bashir Djarullah, Member of the Executive Board and Chairman of the Nigerian-Palestinian Friendship Committee, Yunusa Abu Bakar, Member of the Executive Board and Member of the Palestinian Legislative Council, Sayed Abu Musameh, and Director of Public Relations in the League, Eng.
