A delegation from the League of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds participated in the work and meetings of the 145th General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, in Kigali, Republic of Rwanda.

The delegation included the president of the league, Sheikh Hamid bin Abdullah al-Ahmar, the director general of the league, Dr. Mohammad Makram Balawi, and the head of the public relations department in the league, Abdullah Al-Beltaji.

The participation comes in response to an official invitation from the Inter-Parliamentary Union to discuss the file of the league's membership in the union as an observer member, where the delegation of the league met with the participating delegations and discussed with them ways to support the Palestinian cause.

It is noteworthy that the league has an observer membership in the Union of Councils of Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation(PUIC), the African Parliamentary Union(APU), the Global Organization of Parliamentarians Against Corruption (GOPAC), and the Arab Parliamentary Union.
