A delegation of the League holds a meeting with the Speaker of the Qatari Shura Council in Doha

A delegation of the League of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds, yesterday, Sunday, held a meeting with His Excellency Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Ghanim, Speaker of the Qatari Shura Council.

During the meeting, Sheikh Hamid bin Abdullah Al-Ahmar stressed the need to form a united front to defend the occupied city of Jerusalem and the Palestinian cause, similar to the united front for normalization, stressing that the normalization of some Arab regimes sent messages to the Israeli occupation to continue its attacks and violations against the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Palestinian people.

Al-Ahmar explained that the march of the flags in Jerusalem is a clear march of hostility and a threat to Arabs and Muslims, not only to the Palestinians, noting that the league is in Qatar to discuss confronting the threats facing the Palestinian cause.

He pointed out that the visit aims to support the efforts of the State of Qatar in support of the Palestinian cause, and to discuss creating a greater parliamentary influence in favor of the cause, expressing his hope that the Fifth League Conference will be held in Doha.

He thanked the Emir, government and people of Qatar for their efforts in supporting the Palestinian people at all official, popular and legal levels.

For his part, Al-Ghanim valued the efforts exerted by the league to support the Palestinian cause and support the Palestinian people, calling for greater communication with parliamentarians and parliaments around the world to inform them of the crimes of the Israeli occupation.

He indicated that the Qatari Shura Council submitted a proposal to the Arab Parliament to form an office or committee for Jerusalem to play a media role to support the cause of Jerusalem, reveal the truth first and shed light on the occupation’s attacks against the city and Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Al-Ghanim stressed that parliamentarians around the world are interested in the Palestinian cause, but they do not realize the extent of the occupation’s plans and crimes due to misinformation and the weakness of the pro-Palestinian media, indicating that the council will provide all possible support for the benefit of the Palestinian people.

During the meeting, a number of issues related to strengthening and coordinating efforts between the Shura Council and the League were reviewed to serve the Palestinian cause, as well as ways to deepen parliamentary cooperation and coordinate positions in various regional and international parliamentary forums in order to support the Palestinian cause.

A delegation of the League of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds arrived, on Saturday evening, headed by the head of the League, Hamid bin Abdullah Al-Ahmar, to the State of Qatar for a 4-day official visit.
