The head of the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Parliament) in Iran, Muhammad Baqer Qalibaf, said that the UAE-Israel deal “weakens the efforts of all Islamic countries, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Islamic Parliaments Union ”.

“The will and resistance of the Palestinian people is the only option that leads to the liberation of historic Palestinian lands,” he said in a letter sent to his counterparts in Islamic countries.

Qalibaf called on heads of Islamic parliaments to use all abilities and powers to reject the deal, which he called grim and disgraceful, stressing the need to restore and support Palestinian rights, with reference to the sacrifices of the Palestinian people and the Islamic world.
